History

History of the Program

Monterey One Water (M1W) serves as the Program Administrator for the Monterey Stormwater Education Alliance (MontereySEA), hosting meetings and supporting the development of this regional program. MontereySEA was formed in 2001 to begin working on development of a permit application for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II program, which requires cities under 100,000 in population to obtain permits and implement programs to address stormwater issues. The group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month starting 9:30am at the M1W offices at 5 Harris Court, Building D, in Monterey.
